«Collectible Scape»
2023, ongoing, Saeko Ehara
Exhibition: 03. October — 25. October 2025
«Collectible Scape» is dedicated to digitally preserving disappearing everyday landscapes and environmental fragments. Using 3D scanners and TouchDesigner, the series reinterprets vanishing scenes and objects from new perspectives. Since its inception in 2023, the project has documented a diverse range of subjects – including playground equipment, fountains, public phone booths, incinerators, as well as flora and fauna – bringing attention to often overlooked elements of daily life.

«Collectible Scape» reflects traces of human life and progress, infused with a sense of transience and nostalgia. Inspired by the Zen concept Hika Rakuyou (falling blossoms and leaves), it explores the inevitability of change and disappearance. The aim is to preserve these scenes as memories for the future and invite viewers to feel the connection between past, present, and future.

Saeko Ehara is a Kirakira (sparkling) artist and VJ based in Tokyo (JP). Her work primarily revolves around the theme of sparkling art. In her recent projects, she explores the combination of AI and generative art. After earning a BA in Fine Arts from the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK) in Den Haag (NL), she completed a programme in UI/UX Design at Digital Hollywood in Tokyo (JP). Through exhibitions and live acts, she has appeared in cities such as Tokyo (JP), New York (US), and London (GB) – striving to fill the world with Kirakira through her work.
