Michael Spahr
Michael Spahr (*1973), a.k.a. VJ Rhaps, is a media artist, filmmaker, political activist, historian and journalist. He lives and works in Bern. As a storyteller, Michael Spahr moves on the verge of culture, politics and society. He works with digital image material and sound recordings from which he creates video collages, photo series, radio features, online contributions, newspaper articles, music clips, short feature films, documentaries, up to interactive audio-visual performances, virtual/augmented/mixed reality and transdisciplinary exhibitions. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally since 1998. Michael Spahr has received several awards, including the Migroskulturprozent's Grant for Digital Culture (2010) and the One Minute Award (2011).
