Andrea Vogel
After an education as a textile designer, Andrea Vogel (*1974 in Oberdiessbach BE) attended the textile class at the School for Design and Art in Lucerne, which she graduated in 1999. The reference to space and place plays an important role in her objects, temporary installations, or performances. In 2015, she was honoured with a grant from the city of St. Gallen, and in 2005 she won the Swiss Federal Prize for Design. Since 2005, her works have been regularly shown in various solo and group exhibitions such as at the Kunstzeughaus Rapperswil (2019, 2016), the Cantonale Berne Jura (2018, 2012, 2011, 2008), the Kulturraum am Klosterplatz St. Gallen (Solo; 2015) or the Grand Palais Bern (Solo, 2009) and are represented in the art collections of the City of Baden, of the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and of the Canton of St. Gallen, among others. Andrea Vogel lives in St. Gallen and works in St. Gallen and Oberdiessbach.
